• Centennial Hall – Houses freshmen and upper-class students in air-conditioned double rooms. This residence hall is co-ed by floor with same-gender, community-style bathrooms located on each floor. Amenities include a centralised laundry room, a lounge with a TV, a fitness room, vending machines, and a study room.
• Davis Hall – Houses freshmen and upper-class students in air-conditioned single, double, and triple rooms. The building is co-ed by floor, with same-gender, community-style bathrooms located on each. Davis Hall shares a structure with Memorial Hall, allowing students from both communities to socialise and engage in a shared lounge and study room. Amenities include a centralised laundry room, a 24/7 fitness room, and vending machines.
• Don and Betty Tucker Hall – Designed with universal design in mind, catering to the different needs of students. Each floor is co-ed by room, housing students in single and double rooms. Each floor has 6 single-user restrooms for a semi-private bathroom. Amenities include multiple study lounges with TVs, study rooms on every floor, laundry, elevator, and vending machines.
• Jenks Hall – Houses freshmen and upper-class students. The east wing is co-ed by floor, with single, shared single, and double rooms, and community bathrooms on each floor. The west wing offers air-conditioned deluxe suites for upper-class students with semi-private bathrooms and living areas. Amenities include multiple student lounge areas with TVs, laundry rooms on every floor, an elevator, a study room, and vending machines. Jenks Hall is also home to the Fitness Centre, which is available to all AU students.
• Memorial Hall – Houses freshmen and upper-class students in double rooms. The building is co-ed by floor, with same-gender, community-style bathrooms located on each. Memorial Hall shares a structure with Davis Hall, allowing students from both communities to socialise and engage in a shared lounge and study room. • Wilkinson Hall – Houses upper-class students in single rooms. This residence hall is co-ed by floor with same-gender, community-style bathrooms located on each floor. Amenities include an elevator, a centralised laundry room, a fitness room, an air-conditioned study room/lounge, and a vending area.

Most residences are co-ed, with male and female students housed on separate floors. All bathrooms are designated for each gender. All residence halls have around-the-clock security, with daily rounds by both Residence Life staff and Campus Public Safety officers, and a staff member is always on call. Front entrances are locked 24 hours a day and are equipped with a card access system. All residence halls have high-speed internet, including WiFi and ethernet.

Off-campus housing options

Aurora University provides a list of off-campus housing options for students who want to live independently and take on more responsibility. The university, however, assumes no responsibility for contracts or leases between individuals and is not liable for the consequences of any off-campus housing arrangements. Housing contract requirements

Aurora University offers on-campus housing in six residence halls. Housing is only available to undergraduate students, and each applicant must be a full-time registered Aurora University student. Students under the age of 18 are required to provide parental or legal guardian permission to live in the residence halls.

Students assigned to the residence halls must sign a residence hall contract with Aurora University and leave a $100 security deposit on file with the University before receiving a room assignment. This deposit is refundable once the student terminates occupancy and follows all checkout procedures, minus any damages.

The Office of Residence Life reserves the right to place students in any appropriate halls, on a space-available basis, in the best interest of the students and the institution. Students with a medical condition or disability may request a specific room accommodation through the Disability Resource Office.

Upon checking into their rooms, students will receive a room key and will be asked to complete an emergency contact card. Students must complete a room condition report, noting any deficiencies. Changes to the report must be made within five days of receipt.

Room changes will be made only with the permission of the Office of Residence Life. During the first two weeks of each semester, a "room freeze" is in place to allow residents to adjust to their new living situation. Beginning in the third week of the term, residents may submit a roommate or room change request.

The University reserves the right to enter students' rooms for routine maintenance or in case of an emergency. When an occasion arises to enter the room for maintenance, the person entering will knock first and ask permission to enter. If the room is vacant, maintenance personnel will enter and make repairs.

Students are liable for any damage, modification, or excess cleaning required in their residence hall room or done to any part of University housing. By signing the housing contract and the room condition report, students agree to pay the cost of repair, replacement, or cleaning.

Students are responsible for the use and control of their room key, as well as their student ID, which serves as the exterior door key to their assigned residence hall. Lost keys and IDs must be reported immediately, and there is a minimum charge of $120 for a lock change and replacement keys.

Students are responsible for keeping their own rooms clean and orderly. The University housekeeping staff maintains the residence hall public facilities, such as hallways, community bathrooms, and lounges.
