Register for Camp War Eagle

Submit an enrollment deposit

To confirm your place at Auburn University, you must submit a non-refundable $250 enrollment deposit. This deposit will be applied to your first semester's tuition and orientation fees. All students are required to pay the enrollment deposit, including PACT participants and academic or athletic scholarship recipients.

You can submit your enrollment deposit online via your Auburn Admitted Portal at aub.ie/admittedportal. If you are accepted after the deposit deadline, you have 15 days from your acceptance date to submit your enrollment deposit.

The deadline for the enrollment deposit depends on the semester you are applying for:

• Summer term: May 1
• Fall term: May 1
• Spring term: November 1

Please note that the enrollment deposit is separate from the housing application fee and housing pre-payment.

Apply to live on campus

Living on campus is a great way to meet people and get involved in the Auburn community. There are 30 residence halls, housing about 4,800 students, spread out across five different neighbourhoods.

Although it's not required or guaranteed for first-year students, Auburn University aims to accommodate as many first-time freshmen who wish to live on campus.

To apply to live on campus, you must first be accepted for admission to Auburn University. Once you have been accepted, you will receive a formal acceptance letter from Admissions, which includes information needed for the housing application.

The housing application process is as follows:

• You will receive a timeslot to apply for housing. Timeslots are randomly assigned after each admissions acceptance round and will be sent to your Auburn email account.
• A $100 non-refundable housing application fee will be due in order to submit your housing application.
• Once you have submitted your application, you will receive a confirmation email.
• If you submit your application by April 19, 2023, and have paid the $250 admissions enrollment deposit, you will be able to participate in the room selection process.
• Students will receive a room selection timeslot based on their housing application submission date.
• During the room selection process, students are able to select a bed space for mutually requested roommates. Auburn University Housing cannot guarantee that you will be able to room with a specific roommate but will do their best to honour requests whenever possible.
• The assignment confirmation pre-payment fee is a non-refundable payment to confirm your space on campus once you have selected or been assigned a space.

If you are no longer interested in living on campus, you are encouraged to cancel your housing application as soon as possible to enable Auburn University Housing to allocate your space to another student.

Housing Options

There are five different neighbourhoods for on-campus housing: The Hill, the Quad, the Village, South Donahue, and Cambridge.

The Hill and the Quad are very popular options for incoming freshmen. Rooms are configured as suites with two double-occupancy rooms connected by a bathroom (4 people per bathroom). There are a limited number of single rooms available. Each room is furnished with an extra-long bunkable twin bed, desk and chair, and chest of drawers.

The Quad has 2 all-female dorms, with the rest being co-ed. The Hill has 1 all-male dorm, 1 all-female dorm, and the rest are co-ed. The Quad is located in the heart of campus and houses about 1,000 students, while the Hill is home to about 730 students and is a 5-10 minute walk to the Student Centre and main classroom buildings.

Cambridge Hall is a co-ed dorm with 5 floors of double-occupancy rooms with a shared bathroom and in-room sink. It is located next to the Auburn University Hotel and Conference Centre and is home to about 300 students.

The Village and South Donahue are the apartment-style living options. The Village is home to about 1,500 students, while South Donahue houses about 400. While South Donahue is co-ed, the Village has a mix of all-female and co-ed dorms. The Village is also where sorority housing is located, and members normally have the opportunity to live on the hall their sophomore year. Most suites in the Village are configured with four single bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a common living/dining area. In South Donahue, most suites include two bedrooms with a private bathroom and a shared living room and kitchenette.

Scholarships and financial aid

Scholarships are awarded based on merit and need. First-year student scholarships are awarded competitively for four years among eligible incoming students who enrol immediately after high school graduation. Competitive merit scholarships require a minimum GPA and test score for consideration.

Need-based scholarships are also available, and students can complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for these. The FAFSA is available in December, and the deadline for submission is February 14 for maximum scholarship consideration.

There are also specific scholarships for different colleges and departments, such as the College of Liberal Arts, the College of Agriculture, and the College of Engineering.

Financial Aid

More than 60% of Auburn students receive some type of financial assistance. In addition to scholarships, financial aid is available in the form of grants, loans, and work-study programs.

To apply for financial aid, students should complete the FAFSA, which is available online in December. The deadline for submission is February 14 for maximum consideration.

Other opportunities for financial aid include the Cooperative Education (CO-OP) Program, which offers students the chance to alternate semesters of study and work related to their major, and the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Program, which provides scholarships to eligible students.
