Christian Student Groups: Shippensburg University's Religious Offerings

Shippensburg University offers a variety of Christian student groups, including the DiscipleMakers Christian Fellowship, Catholic Campus Ministry (CCM), and United Campus Ministry (UCM). DiscipleMakers Christian Fellowship

The group meets weekly for their large group event, Primetime, which consists of worship, teaching from the Bible, and fellowship. Primetime is held every Wednesday night at 7 pm in the Old Main Chapel and is open to all.

Catholic Campus Ministry

Shippensburg University's Catholic Campus Ministry (CCM) is a Christian community that believes Jesus Christ is the way to a full life. Catholic Campus Ministers and students come together to learn about their faith, grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, and have fun with friends.

CCM offers free dinners on Thursdays from 5-6:30 pm at the Cora I. Grove Spiritual Center. They also offer small group Bible studies throughout the week, and students can sign up to join a group. The Spiritual Center also has a meditation chapel, study rooms, a kitchen, and a library of faith-based books, including a large collection of Catholic resources.

The CCM community worships at Our Lady of the Visitation Parish, located at 305 North Prince Street. Students can get involved at Mass by serving as Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, lectors, or cantors.

In addition to CCM, Shippensburg University also has other Christian groups on campus, such as the United Campus Ministry (UCM) and the DiscipleMakers Christian Fellowship. UCM is an ecumenical ministry that welcomes students from different backgrounds and supports them as they navigate college life and strive for professionalism. They offer fellowship events, weekly dinners, study groups, worship, counseling, and social action projects. DiscipleMakers Christian Fellowship seeks to serve and improve the campus community and offers "Investigative Bible Discussions" for anyone interested in learning more about Jesus Christ. They hold a weekly large group event called Primetime, which is open to the whole campus.
