Universal Studios Hollywood offers four types of annual passes, each with different price points, perks, and blackout dates. The four passes are the California Neighbor Pass, the Silver Annual Pass, the Gold Annual Pass, and the Platinum Annual Pass. The Platinum Annual Pass includes free parking, but only if the pass holder arrives before 6 pm.

Platinum Annual Pass benefits

Platinum Annual Pass members enjoy a wide range of benefits, including:

• Unlimited admission for 12 months with no blockout dates: Platinum Pass members can visit the park as many times as they want throughout the year, with no restrictions.
• Access to 11 SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Family of parks: The Platinum Annual Pass grants access to a total of 11 parks, including SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, Sesame Place, and award-winning water parks.
• Free general parking at all 11 parks: No need to worry about parking fees, as the Platinum Pass includes free general parking at every park.
• Free preferred parking (when available): In addition to free general parking, Platinum Pass members can also take advantage of free preferred parking when it is available.
• 8 Free Guest Tickets: Platinum Pass members receive 8 free guest tickets to SeaWorld Orlando, Aquatica Orlando, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, or Adventure Island Tampa Bay. These tickets are distributed on a rolling calendar basis.

Perks of the California Neighbor Pass

The California Neighbor Pass is one of four types of Universal Studios Hollywood Passes, which are divided into tiers. The pass is valid for nine months from the selected first visit date, which must be activated in advance. The pass includes over 150 revisit days within this nine-month period, allowing for ultimate flexibility to visit for an afternoon, evening, or full day.

The perks of the California Neighbor Pass include:

• Invitations to exclusive events, previews, and insider information.
• The opportunity to enjoy no-pressure trips to the park, trying new menu items, riding a few attractions, and taking selfies with favourite characters.
• Access to exclusive food and drink items, such as a Strawberry Spiral Croissant and a Cotton Candy Sparkling Lemonade.
• Special ticket discounts on Universal Express upgrades, VIP Experience upgrades, Halloween Horror Nights tickets, and additional GA tickets for friends and family.
• Discounts on eligible merchandise, photo packages, and collectible popcorn buckets and drink sippers during Bonus Benefits and Pass Member Appreciation Days.
• Collectible magnets that are released every few months, often tied to new attractions or celebrations.
• Insider experiences, such as the Bonus Benefits Scavenger Hunt, where pass members can earn exclusive collectibles.

The California Neighbor Pass does not include parking or discounts on in-park food, beverages, or merchandise. It is also important to note that blackout dates and restrictions apply on return visits.

Silver and Gold Annual Pass blackout dates

The Silver Annual Pass costs $249 at the Front Gate, or $239 if purchased online. The pass includes over 275 days for return visits, with more than 50 of those days being on weekends. The Gold Annual Pass costs $339 at the Front Gate, or $329 if purchased online. The pass includes over 325 days for return visits, with 75 of those days being on weekends.

Pass Member Appreciation Days

Universal Studios Hollywood has a range of pass options for prospective visitors, including the California Neighbor Pass, the Silver Annual Pass, the Gold Annual Pass, and the Platinum Annual Pass. Each pass has different price points, perks, and blackout dates.

In 2024, Pass Member Appreciation Days took place from August 15 to September 30. During this period, pass members could enjoy a range of perks, including:

• A complimentary, limited-edition Pass Member Collectible Squishy Tram in a commemorative box (available to the first 3,500 pass members on specific dates)
• A lights-on walkthrough of A Quiet Place, one of the haunted houses featured at Halloween Horror Nights 2024 (available at select times)

Discounts for students

Universal Studios Hollywood offers a range of perks and discounts for students and young people with Annual Passes. They can then return the next day or the weekend after, or even on a weekday after school or work.

Pass Members also get access to exclusive events, such as Pass Member Previews and Pass Member Park Takeovers, where only Annual or Season Pass holders are allowed in the park, resulting in shorter lines and more surprises. Twice a year, in late winter and late summer, Universal Studios Hollywood offers Bonus Benefits and Pass Member Appreciation Days, where pass holders can enjoy giveaways, exclusive food and drink items, merchandise discounts, and other surprises.

In addition, pass holders can collect exclusive collectibles, such as magnets, by showing their pass at the Universal Studio Store. They can also participate in special insider experiences, such as scavenger hunts, to earn collectible buttons and bragging rights.

When it comes to food and drinks, pass holders can enjoy exclusive access to a rotating selection of treats and drinks. Gold and Platinum Pass Members receive a year-round 15% discount on in-park food and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as a 10-15% discount at participating CityWalk restaurants. During Bonus Benefits and Pass Member Appreciation Days, all pass types receive additional discounts at participating CityWalk restaurants and on eligible merchandise.

The Platinum Annual Pass offers the most benefits, including no blackout dates, a complimentary Halloween Horror Nights ticket, free parking before 6 pm, and a Universal Express Pass after 3 pm.
