Move-in dates and instructions
Fall Semester
Students will receive an email to their @sdsu account in early July with their move-in date, building, room type, bed size, meal plan (if applicable), and Learning Community (if applicable). In early August, students will receive another email with their check-in time assignment, roommate information, and specific move-in instructions. Move-in dates and check-in times are staggered to facilitate traffic, so it is recommended that students wait to make travel plans until they receive their move-in date and time.
On move-in day, students will receive instructions at check-in areas to activate a temporary courtesy parking permit, which will be valid through the Saturday of the following week. Students are encouraged to download the Move-In Checklist to ensure they have everything they need for their arrival. Students may be accompanied by family members and guests to assist with move-in.
Spring Semester
Students who completed a spring license agreement by December 2 will receive their housing assignment email with their move-in day, building, room type, bed size, and meal plan assignments.
