Payment options for class rings
The University of Cincinnati offers class rings for its students, which can be purchased from their partners Jostens and Balfour. These rings can be purchased using the following payment options:
Online: eCheck/ACH or Credit Card
The University of Cincinnati partners with Higher One to provide secure online payments via Transact 24 hours a day. This is the preferred method of payment as payments made via Transact will post to a student's bill within minutes of confirmation. To make a payment online, log in to the Catalyst Student Portal and click on the "My Finances" tile. In the "Account Summary" section, click "MAKE A PAYMENT". You will then be transferred to Transact, securely hosted by Higher One. Once transferred, payers will be offered eCheck/ACH or credit card as a method of payment. The eCheck/ACH payment method is free when using your bank account and bank routing number. There is a non-refundable convenience fee to pay by credit card. The convenience fee is 2.95% when using a U.S. credit card and 4.25% when using an international credit card. The minimum service fee for card transactions over $20 and less than $106 will be $3.00.
Semester Payment Plan
The University of Cincinnati also offers a Semester Payment Plan in partnership with Transact, which allows students and their delegates to divide the cost of tuition, housing, and fees into three equal monthly installments. Each semester that a student chooses to participate, they will need to complete Semester Payment Plan enrollment in Transact and pay a $35 non-refundable enrollment fee. Payers will be enrolled in auto pay by default but can opt out during the initial enrollment process or cancel/edit auto-pay any time before the installment due date. Once enrolled, students and delegates will see a Semester Payment Plan service indicator in Catalyst.
Payments can also be made by mailing a check or money order (not cash) to the University of Cincinnati. Checks and money orders should be made payable to the "University of Cincinnati" and include the student’s name and UC ID. College Savings Plan
Students and those with delegated access can select “New 529 Savings Plan” as the payment method in Transact. A $10 service fee for all 529 electronic payments will be deducted from the 529 plan account in addition to the requested withdrawal amount. While electronic payment is the preferred method to receive funds, there is also the option to have a check mailed from your provider.
