If you have a valid credit balance on your student account, you may request a refund on the MyBU Student Portal by selecting "My Bill & Aid," "Student Account Inquiry," and then "Request a Refund." Your refund can be used to pay for indirect expenses, such as room and board. You will receive an email notification once your refund request has been approved, and the funds will be deposited into your bank account within 7-11 business days.
To create or update your refund profile, visit the MyBU Student Portal and select "Financials" from the left navigation menu, then select "Student Account Balance" and "Nelnet Payment & Payment Plans." You will then be in the Nelnet QuikPAY environment, where you can select "Manage Refunds" to continue into the Nelnet Student Choice Refunds (SCR) portal.
