Auburn University's Student Grade Portal: A Step-By-Step Guide

Once you are logged in to the Family Portal and are on the home screen, you will see the Auburn University logo in the top left corner and four icons in the top right corner. Click on the graduation cap icon. Once you click on the arrow, you will see all of the information blocks that your student has approved for you to see. There will be a section called “Overall GPA”, and you are able to click on that block.

Once you have clicked on the information block, you will see a mid-term and final-grade report. There will not be a by-assignment report, just a report of the student’s overall grade for each class. If granted approval by your student, you will receive notifications for changes to this section at midterm and when final grades are posted. If you are wanting more detailed information on your student’s grades by assignment/paper/test/etc., you can request the student to change their communication preferences. It is important to note that only the student has access to granular information.

Additionally, once grades have been posted at the end of the semester or term, they are viewable in Auburn DegreeWorks. To look at your record in Auburn DegreeWorks, head to AUAccess and click on the DegreeWorks icon within the Academic Portals card. You can use the "What If" option on the Audits tab to do an audit using criteria you select. Be sure to select a Degree, Catalog term and Major along with any corresponding Minors or Concentrations. The selected major will be moved to the window on the right. To deselect the major from that window, highlight it by clicking on it and then click the REMOVE button located below the window. Once the major is selected, click on the PROCESS AUDIT button to generate a "What If" audit.
